DESCRIPTION

INTERSAN washfountains offer the ultimate in flexibility for design and layout of public washrooms. An optimal solution can be found for any specific use: light or heavy industry, schools, laboratories, offices, workshops and places accessible to the public.

The heavy duty 16 gauge stainless steel type AISI 304 washfountains combine a pedestal, parabolic bowl, water distribution column, sprayhead and soap dispenser into a system designed plumbing fixture. The black powder coated steel or stainless steel conical pedestal versus conventional multi-part pedestals, results in maximized stability, while permitting easy access for wheelchair use. The fixtures are preplumbed, thus making them easy to install. All materials are of the highest quality.

All INTERSAN sensor operated washfountains use a passive detection system powered by a 10.8V lithium battery-pack with a longevity of approximately 3 to 5 years.

 

MODE OF OPERATION

Maxi-Spray Individual Sensor Control
When a user places his or her hands underneath one of the individual nozzles, the water flow is initiated. Since the 'Maxi-Spray' operation was conceived for thorough washing, the water remains flowing as long as required. Only when the sensor detects the withdrawal of the hands for a period of time will the Master Control Unit initiate a signal to cease the water flow.

As each individual nozzle has its own sensor, solenoid valve and timing device system, it functions independently from all the other sensors, valves and timers connected to the Master Control Unit.

Mini-Spray Individual Sensor Control
As soon as a user presents his or her hands underneath one of the individual nozzles, the water starts flowing from it. Then, after a fixed minimal period of 5 seconds water flow, the valve is closed when hands are withdrawn from the detection area. If the user remains present for more than 30 seconds, the Master Control Unit automatically interrupts the ongoing washing-cycle. Each individual nozzle has its own sensor, solenoid valve and timing device system and thus functions independently from all other sensors, valves and timers connected to the Master Control Unit.

Hi-Traffic Collective Sensor Control
Once a user places his or her hands in the detection area of one of the individual sensors, the collective sprayring starts spraying water all around the washfountain. When activated, the water flow continues until all users have departed from the washfountain. To prevent water wastage, however, the Master Control Unit closes the solenoid valve of the collective sprayring when only one person is present at the washfountain for an overly long period of time.

 

OPTIONS

Soap System

- Maxi-Spray: Liquid soap on demand.

- Mini-Spray: One shot soap, before the water starts flowing, the user "automatically" gets a shot of liquid soap.

- Hi-Traffic: Powder/liquid soap dispenser can be mounted on the top of the sprayhead.

Stainless Steel Pedestal
The standard black powder coated steel pedestal can be substituted by a stainless steel pedestal.

Wall Hung (Semi-Circular and Corner Models)
Especially designed for applications where no pedestals can be installed. Includes a sturdy wall mounting frame and stainless steel skirt hiding all plumbing connections.

Thermostatic Mixing Valve
Preset at 104°

Cleaning Function
Places (manually or via remote control) the washfountain in a mode where all valves remain closed for a period of 2 minutes. This allows easy cleaning and drying of the surface of the washfountain.

Washfountains take up significantly less space than lavatories of equal capacity. Additionally, their installation is very flexible in that different models exist to be used in freestanding, wall or corner configurations.

The self-draining aspects of the bowl, the No-Touch control system, the use of durable mechanical and solid state electronic components, the longevity of the battery-pack etc. are all features that contribute to a high-quality product that requires minimal maintenance.

Vandal Resistant
